Bandits and outlaws

Bandits and outlaws are basically the same thing, except the word "bandit" is now part of the English slang lexicon.

A bandit or outlaw is normally a person that commits a serious crime (e.g. robbing a bank, etc.) and acts outside the law.

I have to ask: Is this being bad? I certainly think so!
